Kadence is the theme I point people to when they want a fast WordPress site they can edit themselves, without a heavy page builder sitting on top. So I keep a close eye on what it costs.

Quick note before we start: this page is about Kadence WP, the WordPress theme and blocks plugin. If you are after Kadence the guitar brand, that is a different company, and this code will not work there.

On to the deal. Our code THEGUIDEX10 takes 10% off any Kadence plan. It is not the 30% or 40% you see on coupon sites, and the old lifetime licence is gone, but it is the saving that actually applies at checkout.

What is Kadence, really?

Let me back up, because Kadence has grown from a theme into a small family of products.

At its core, Kadence is two free things: the Kadence theme and the Kadence Blocks plugin. The theme controls your header, footer, fonts and colours across the site. The blocks plugin adds rows, tabs, forms, galleries and more to the WordPress block editor. You build pages in the normal WordPress editor, not in a separate page builder.

That is the reason I like it. There is no extra builder layer loading on every page, so sites stay fast, and anyone who knows the WordPress editor can edit them.

Kadence is owned by Liquid Web, and its store has moved to liquidweb.com. In that move, the old bundles were replaced by three yearly plans, and the lifetime licence was retired for new buyers.

Kadence pricing in 2026

Here are the three plans as Liquid Web lists them, and what each costs with THEGUIDEX10. All three are yearly.

Liquid Web notes that plans are priced per site. If you are buying for several sites, check the site count in the cart before you pay. Renewals are at the list price, so plan your second year on $99, $299 or $499.

What do you actually get with Kadence?

Every paid plan starts from the free theme and blocks, so here is what the money adds, in the order most people will use it.

1. Pro blocks and 200+ starter templates

The pro blocks add things like advanced galleries, sliders and dynamic lists, and the starter templates give you a full designed site to edit instead of a blank page. For most sites, this is where the time saving is.

2. The header, footer and mega menu builder

You can design the header and footer visually, with separate layouts for mobile, plus mega menus for bigger sites. The free theme covers the basics; the paid builder covers almost any layout.

3. A form builder and dynamic content

The advanced form builder handles contact and lead forms without a separate forms plugin. Dynamic content lets a block pull in data like post fields, which matters once a site has many similar pages.

4. Shop Kit for WooCommerce (Pro)

Shop Kit improves the cart and checkout and adds promotion tools. If you sell on WooCommerce, this is the main reason to move from Essentials to Pro.

5. Memberships, security and backups (Pro)

Pro adds membership levels and content restriction, a firewall with virtual patching, two-factor login, and daily backups with one-click restore. That replaces three or four separate plugins on a typical store.

6. Kadence Central and white label (Elite)

Elite lets you manage many client sites from one portal, under your own brand. Unless you run an agency, you will not need it.

Is there a Kadence lifetime deal?

No. Kadence used to sell a one-time lifetime licence, but it was retired for new buyers when the store moved to Liquid Web. People who bought one keep it. You cannot buy a new one.

So a "Kadence lifetime deal" page is either out of date or sending you somewhere that no longer sells it. If paying once matters to you, Divi is one of the few builders that still sells a lifetime licence.

Why the 30% and 40% Kadence codes do not work

I checked the codes that coupon sites list against what the Kadence cart accepts. Here is the honest map.

If a code bigger than THEGUIDEX10's 10% does not show in the Kadence cart total, it is not real. The one time Kadence goes deeper is its Black Friday sale in late November.

Kadence vs Brizy, Elementor and Divi

Kadence is a theme plus blocks, while the others are full visual page builders. Here is how the entry prices compare.

Kadence is the leanest of the four, because it builds on the WordPress editor instead of adding its own. That is why it tends to be the fastest out of the box.

Brizy and Elementor give you a more visual drag-and-drop editor, which some people find easier. Divi is the pick if you want to pay once and never again. If speed and editing in plain WordPress matter most, Kadence is the one I would choose.

The honest catch: where Kadence falls short

Kadence is the theme I recommend most, but it has edges worth knowing before you buy.

Is Kadence worth it in 2026?

For most sites, start free. The free Kadence theme has more than 500,000 active installs and Kadence Blocks more than 600,000, and together they build a good, fast site on their own.

Upgrade to Essentials when you want the starter templates, the header builder and the pro blocks. With the code, that is $89.10 for the year. Move to Pro only when you run a store or a members area.

Final take

The Kadence deal is simple: THEGUIDEX10 for 10% off any yearly plan, which makes Essentials $89.10. The lifetime licence is gone and the 40% codes are dead, so this is the saving to use.
